At OLOL, we ensure that vocation and what this means is embedded in our Catholic Life and RE. Each year we have days dedicated to Vocational Life and People of Faith so that our children can nurture a deep understanding of what it means to have a vocation and how this translates to discernment and a religious life for some but for others can look very different. On these days we invite religious and non-religious to school to share their vocational life with the children.
Below is our Vocational Life Overview – this is one way in which we enrich our children’s understanding through knowledge of the Saints and key historical and current religious figures and places. Pilgrimage is linked in all classes so that by the time they reach Year 5 or Year 6 and go on Pilgrimage to Lourdes, they have a clear knowledge and understanding about how this contributes to their wider Catholic Life.
