Our RE curriculum is taken from the Diocesan Strategy for RE - Learning and Growing as the People of God. The overview shows how each unit fits into the teaching timetable for the year. Please take a look and see how you can support your child's prayer life during each unit. There is a much more detailed overview of RE at OLOL on the Catholic Life section of this website.
Pupils in Catholic schools are required to spend 10% of their curriculum timetabled sessions on RE. At OLOL this will usually be in 3 lessons per week (lasting the required length of time when calculated against the full amount of time in school) and an additional shorted slot in classes where that is necessary. IN addition we have themed weeks that increase that time allocation. The Diocese check compliance in this area during the Catholic Inspection of Schools process.
