Governing Body Register of Interests
Governing bodies in maintained schools have a duty to publish information about the constitution of the governing body and their register of interests.
This new duty is part of the government’s response to allegations about the backgrounds of Governing Body members and how these might cause inappropriate influence on the decisions made by the Body as a whole.
This duty aims to bring greater transparency to the governance of English maintained schools and gives parents information about the people that are managing their school. If you wish to know more about individual Governors please review their biographies on the “Meet the Governing Body” page.
