Prayer at Our Lady of Lourdes
At Our Lady of Lourdes we embed the teaching of traditional prayers and an understanding of the purpose of prayers into everyday classroom life. Children are taught a selection of new prayers each school year and already known prayers are consolidated. Prayer is an inherent part of the school day for staff too and we find opportunities for prayer and reflection at briefings and staff meetings.
We have a school Prayer Book which is available for purchase from the School Office but below is a list of the key prayers we teach and the Year Group they should be learning them. Please use these prayers in your shared family prayer time to support the children in learning them more easily.
