Showing Love to God's Creation

As part of our RE lessons, we are understanding the God shows his love to us through the creation. In return we know that we should respect and care for it, in the same way he cares for us. We explored ways in which we can do this by feeding the worms our food waste, picking litter, sweeping the leaves and turning the lights and taps off. We have appointed two members of the Eco Team to remind us to look out for the world.

New Class Blessings

We welcomed Deacon Tim to Reception today, where he shared prayers with us. He blessed our altar, the children and the teachers asking God to guide and look after us for the coming year.

Season of Creation

During the Season of Creation we are enjoying spending a few moments each day, with One Life.  We are learning new songs, responses and prayers and developing an understanding of being respectful and reverent during these opportunities we have to be with God.

Celebration of the Word

We have started to join in with celebration of the word, where we explore the Sunday's Gospel reading. As part of this celebration we also join in with the School Mission Prayer and the responses and actions to the Gospel.

Learning to Live, Love and Learn together through Christ.

Our first week of school has been an exciting one, we are beginning to show we can follow our school mission through prayer, work and play. We have learnt what it is like to be part of the Our Lady of Lourdes family. We have begun to learn our school prayers and how to make the sign of the cross.
