‘Young people are not meant to become discouraged; they are meant to dream great things, to seek vast horizons, to aim higher, to take on the world, to accept challenges and to offer the best of themselves to the building of something better.’
Pope Francis, Christus Vivit 15
At Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School, we believe that every teacher has a right to teach without interruption and every pupil has a right to learn. Each child has the right to be safe and every parent has the right to information about his or her child’s behaviour. We want to work in partnership with parents and carers to encourage high standards. We have very high expectations of our children’s learning and behaviour in order to maintain a good learning environment. At our school we focus on developing positive behaviours for learning and successful relationships and with an eye to forgiveness, restitution and fresh starts in all cases.
We expect all pupils to be polite and courteous, well mannered, show respect for all no matter our relationship with them, show age appropriate self restraint and follow the rules that are there to create the best learning environment for all.
