Admissions Letter to Year R Parents 2023/24 (Sept 2024 start)

Admission to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School

At Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School we welcome children seeking admission for our Nursery Class and Reception Class (starting in September each year). In addition we run waiting lists for parents who wish to seek admission at other stages of their school career through the In Year Admission Process.

We are a Catholic School, founded by the Catholic Church to provide education for children of Catholic families. The school is conducted by its governing body as part of the Catholic Church in accordance with its Trust Deed and Instrument of Government and seeks at all times to be a witness to Jesus Christ.

We ask all parents applying for a place here to respect the Catholic ethos and its importance to the members of the school community. This does not affect the rights of parents who are not of the faith of this school to apply for and be considered for a place here.

On this page you can access our detailed Admissions Policy and the Criteria by which children gain entry to Our Lady of Lourdes. If you have any questions about the process please telephone Mrs S McGrath at the School Office on 01214442684 and she will be able to assist you.

Please note that we require all parents seeking admission for their child to complete our Supplementary Information Form and provide the required evidence of home address and Baptism. Failure to provide this information will affect the criteria by which your child is measured. It is the responsibility of the parent making application to provide school with this form and all requested evidentiary paperwork and failure on any of these aspects will impact your application.
