The Blessed Sacrament

We went to church to pray before the Blessed Sacrament. We prayed for Father Sean and all the priests who help us. We prayed for help to find ways to help others in our school and community.

Vocations Day

On Vocations Day we thought about our gifts and talents. What are we good at? We shared our thoughts and listened carefully to each other. How can we use our talents to help others?

In our school we live, love and learn together, with Jesus at the centre of all we do.

Easter Parade

We joined in with the school Easter parade wearing our fantastic bonnets. Take a close look. What can you see? Is there anything that reminds you of new life? Are there any symbols? Why are there crosses?

We rejoiced as we remembered that Jesus is risen!

Lenten Prayers

During Lent we say sorry to God for all the things we have have done wrong. In our prayer service we talked about characters who need to say sorry in some of our favourite books. We put a plaster with our names on onto the cross as we said sorry. When we say sorry to God we are forgiven and try to do better in future.

Thank you to SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary school for our card to celebrate Our Lady of Lourdes Feast Day.

Lenten Retreat Day

We gathered with the whole school to pray, listen and sing. We heard about how to see with our hearts to love 💕 others. This Lent we will try hard to be loving and kind to others.

Ash Wednesday

Father Sean came to visit us in class. We said a prayer together. Father put ashes on our heads in the shape of a cross. We talked about being extra good during Lent.

St David’s Day

On St.David’s Day we wore yellow and brought in daffodils to remind us about the patron saint of Wales. We said prayers and left our flowers in the hall with the statue of Our Lady.

Our Lady of Lourdes Feast Day

We celebrated our feast day by visiting the grotto beside our church. We prayed together and shared the story of when Our Lady appeared to St. Bernadette.

We wore our own clothes and had a special French snack of hot chocolate  and croissants.

Visiting the Crib

We went to see the crib in church. We talked about what we could see. We noticed that all the people and animals were looking at Jesus.

Angel Decorations

The Nursery children have made angels for their Christmas trees. They remind us of the angels who brought the Good News about Jesus to Mary and the shepherds.

Advent Prayer Service

We went into the hall for an Advent prayer service. We lit two candles on the Advent wreath and prayed for peace. We listened to the bible story about the birth of Jesus. We sang ‘Stay Awake, Be Ready’ to remind us to prepare for the coming of Jesus. Do you know what the third candle represents?

Our Prayer Bag

The Nursery children had a prayer service to remember those who have died in war. We used our new prayer bag to help us. What can you see on our prayer cloth?

Prayer Service

We had a Prayer Service to reflect on the wonderful world we live in. We thanked God for the things he made - the stars, dolphins, horses, dogs, flowers, families and friends.

Class Blessing

Deacon Tim came to visit us today. We said prayers together. We listened to a reading from the bible and learned that Jesus loved the little children the most.

Then Deacon Tim blessed us with holy water. He blessed the prayer table too.

Our Prayer Area

The children have drawn things that God made. They thought about the things they love about our world and gave thanks for them. What are you thankful for?
