Year 4 2018/2019

Creation Display

We created a display about the story of creation and wrote prayers thanking God for the beautiful world that He created.

Deacon Tim came into our class today to bless our room and prayer table with holy water.

Father Sean's Birthday celebrations! The children made their own cards and presented them to him. He was very over-whelmed.

This half term we are learning to be faith-filled in our beliefs and hopeful for the future.

Jacobs Dream- We freeze framed and drew a picture telling the story of Jacobs dream.

Remembrance Day: We wrote prayers for all of those who have died in conflict or at war.

Armistice Day Assembly. Mrs David set us a challenged us to either write a thank you prayer or letter for soldiers at war now.

Class Prayer service, the theme was 'The wedding feast at Cana'. She got the class to record their thoughts on post-it notes. We were all very impressed with how well she had planned and prepared it at home using our class prayer bag.

Class Liturgy- Faith-filled (The story of the widow of Nain. What a beautiful, reflective prayer service!

A beautiful prayer service. All week had been spent on planning and preparing it. Well done!

We loved wearing our P.J's to raise money for Cafod. We had two competitions to design the best pair of pyjamas and stocking! Well done!

Sycamore class re-enact the parable of The Prodigal Son as part of their class prayer service.

Sycamore think about their faith and belief in God, as they reflect on the story of Jesus calling the disciples to leave everything and follow him.

Sycamore share the story of the Baptism of Jesus in their class prayer. They think about their journey of faith that began with their own Baptism.

Sycamore class look at the Parable of the Talents as they reflect on their own talents. They think about vocations and what their own calling might be.

Sycamore decorate their prayer tree will their thoughts and prayers about vocations.

As we move towards the end of the school year, Sycamore think about saying thank you to God for all he has given us.

Sycamore use their class prayer to thank God for his creation and the world he has given us.

Sycamore reflect on the story of the Calming of the Storm and think about how God guides and looks after them when thing get rough.

Sycamore think about forgiveness and making the right choices as they share the story of Jonah and the Whale.
