Year 1 2018/2019

During our work on the Church as a community Ayvah explained that in order for us to be prophetic we must follow in Jesus’ footsteps to set an example to others and remember that the Church is not just a place of worship.

Lilia has spent her week being prophetic, a leading example for us all to follow.

We are fishermen, bringing people back to the Lord through our words and actions just like St.Peter.

This week we have been learning about the feast of Sacred Heart and why the feast day of St.Peter and St.Paul is celebrated.

Some children in class asked some very thoughtful ‘I wonder....’ questions:

Gabriel- “I wonder how Jesus felt not being able to see God his Father as a human.”

Layla- “How did Jesus know God was in his heart?”

Jake- “Do we have some of Jesus’ sacred heart?”

In our prayer service today we remembered that Jesus teaches us how he wants us to behave and gives us messages of how he wants us to live.

We also remembered the feast day of Corpus Christi celebrated yesterday.

A vocation is a calling to help and serve others using our gifts and talents from God.

We remember that every new day is beautiful and ask through our prayers for God to continue to send us a calling.

In the month of May we remember Mary, our mother, through prayer and through our thoughts and actions.

We are on our Lenten journey with the Lord as our class family

Today we did our sponsored sport event to raise money for CAFOD.
