Year 6

On the Feast of St. Peter and St Paul, our Y6 children who were inspired by these saints at Confirmation, have reflected on why they were their chosen saints.

Grenfell Tower: We have been keeping the all of those affected by this terrible tragedy in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Y6 have written prayers for the many people who were injured or sadly lost their lives in this terrible tragedy. We have also reflected on the amazing courage of the firefighters and emergency workers who bravely risked their own lives to help others. The community spirit and generosity of people around the country is amazing. We really like the single, Bridge Over Troubled Water, which has been released to raise money for all those affected.

Marian Procession

Marian Procession 1

Rowan took some time to focus on The Stations of the Cross. Prayerfully, we thought about Jesus in the final hours of his life on earth. We asked him to help us see more clearly what God might be asking us to do, the ways that you can love and serve people around you.

During Lent, we took some time to focus on the CAFOD fundraising project "Turn little fish into Big fish". We designed fish biscuits and reflected prayerfully about how we could help people less fortunate than us. Remember, little actions will make a really big difference to people living in poverty.

Miss Molloy kindly gave each member of Y6 a Guardian Angel prayer card. She explained that she was given one of these when she was a Y6 student (she brought it in to show us). Miss Molloy uses still uses her Guardian Angel prayer card. Thank you Miss Molloy and good luck in your next school!

Rowan Class thought about the life and works of Mother Teresa. We looked at how we could mimic the works of Mother Teresa in our daily lives.
